How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Makola AI account directly from the app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Makola AI app on your device.
  2. Navigate to Settings using the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account" (shown in red).
  4. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
  5. Your account will be deactivated and personal app data will be deleted or de-identified unless we must retain limited records for legal, financial, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

What Data is Deleted

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the following app data unless retention is required by law or payment compliance:

  • Your user profile (name, phone number, email)
  • Your vendor profile (business name, market location)
  • Product inventory and stock data
  • Order and transaction history that is not required for legal or financial recordkeeping
  • Voice session recordings and conversation logs
  • Wallet balance records and withdrawal history that are not required for legal or financial recordkeeping

Data Retention

Account deletion is irreversible. We process deletion requests promptly after confirmation. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to your identity may be retained for service improvement purposes.

Payment transaction records required by financial regulations, fraud prevention, tax, dispute handling, or security obligations may be retained for the legally required period.
